From deep within the vaults of my sewing career, I bring you this!:
My husband brought this out so I could use it for my iPhone, and I thought I'd share it since it's one of the first things I ever sewed.
Way back when I had never even seen a sewing blog, and iPod classics were current, I made this as a gift of some sort for my husband. The fleece was a remnant of my Portal companion cube project (another gift for the husband, lovingly hand sewed while I was pregnant with Clover), which has been eaten and forgotten by the digital world. I've searched around and can't seem to find pictures of it except in an old facebook album here
My embroidery skills probably haven't improved much, to be honest, but they were pretty rudimentary here. But it's lasted all this time without falling apart. My husband passed it down to me to use as a protective crumb and dust barrier when I put my iPhone in my purse. Apple just replaced my old phone for free (um how great is that!) because the camera had a solid layer of gunk built up behind the glass lens. Without being able to snap up pieces of life with a nice camera, my iPhone is about half as awesome to me.
