When you get your first smartphone.
You get really excited and every moment seems like an opportunity to fling that thing out and snap a shot. Tim surprised me with my little piece of treasure last week, and I have already taken a pile of pictures on it.
So here is life according to the smartphone:
We trekked out to watch some workers aerate the neighbor's lawn on Friday. Exciting stuff.
Violet paused to tell a tall tale on the way back home.
On Saturday, Clover stopped to watch the leaves fall from the trees. This might be because I mentioned that it might be fairy princesses up there shaking them down.....
We enjoyed a walk out to Starbucks and forgot to use the giftcard. We haven't been in there in forever and the whole place had been remodeled. It looks awesome!.
Tim showered his little miss with kisses after Starbucks
Violet had a rambunctious encounter with a balloon on the way back from a going away party for a friend.
On Sunday, Tim got his birthday gift a day early so he could wear it during the Redskins game. He also wore it to engage in the manly art of applying princess stickers in a book, ever so carefully.
On Monday, we tried to put together a nice little photo to put on Tim's facebook wall for his birthday, but things got out of hand. It starts all nice, but then suddenly hands are around throats and fluffy heads are yanked from the picture....
Knowing that I would have Clover color a card for her daddy, I asked her what we should put on daddy's birthday card. She said "daddy!". "Ok" I replied....."anything else? what does daddy like?" She thought for a second. "Daddy!" "So daddy likes daddy?" I asked. "Uh huh!"
Alright! So I drew a lego version of Tim on some construction paper and had Clover color it in.
Clover and Violet got their daddy an X wing fighter for his 39th birthday
My girl shows her little nerd roots more and more every day, which delights me to no end.
And finally, Tim blew out the candles on his flaming doughnut holes for his birthday.
Hehe, fun times and congrats on your phone! PS you're a pretty lady.
