girl like the sea

this sad little girl got dinged above her eye by a vacuum attachment. I was going to occupy the kids with Toy Story while I escaped for a shower, and Clover got really excited, bolting towards the TV. Violet happened to be swinging the vacuum attachment and Clover ran straight into it, getting knocked onto her butt, stunned and bleeding. after the bleeding stopped I saw that her skin was split open somewhat deeply, but I didn't think it warranted a trip anywhere. she's doing fine now.

 

not only that, but this afternoon she was doing some ballet twirls outside in the driveway when a huge gust of wind blew her over. she scraped her knee pretty deeply on the concrete. she also lost a small clump of hair in a tussle with her little sister. poor thing is taking a beating today. 

all is not lost today though. we had a wonderful trip to the playground in some pretty spectacular weather, and I even found a 10$ bill in the grass while we were there.

I also have all my pieces cut out for a pair of Violet sailboat pants and I am getting really excited about them. Eek! *gyrations*
