I've been doing things. Really. But my blogging has taken a hit ever since photoshop elements 10 arrived on my doorstep. What was supposed to be a helpful tool to make my DSLR photos look as good as they can, turned into a time sucking, brow furrowing sinkhole. And I've invested so much of my already thinly spread mental energy into trying to make heads or tails of that program, that I can't stop now.
The sad news is that I have precious little to show for it. But I HAVE been able to locate where my photos are being saved to. That's genuinely good news. If anyone can point this poor mac-head towards something that will help me decipher the layout of something decidedly "windows", I would really appreciate it.
My hope was to be able to figure out how to even approach trying to replicate the gorgeous look of many of the modern photographers these days, whether it be the pictures I see on pinterest, or the blogs I read. Or to even approach the brilliance of my photog idol Rebekah Murray or Tess Miller
In the meantime, at least I can sort of use the camera raw function @_@
So here are a few shots from last week when I took the girls out to play in the mud. There are actually more shots, but I haven't been able to start editing them yet.
Clover was making hot chocolate with my empty teacup
In other news, my next project in the queue is sailboat tops and pants for the girls. We got some lisette fabrics yesterday just for the occasion. Clover already had pattern pieces cut out for her pants, but I had never traced any pieces for the tops or Violet sized pants. It took what felt like an eternity of tracing and cutting to get all those pieces cranked out. And I still have to pin them to my fabric and cut it out *faint*.
I also joined a craft swap called the "Covert Robin" that I will post more about later. Busy busy!
