we call it "daddy's day" around here, if only because it makes it easier for a 2 and 4 year old to understand what we're celebrating
we took some photos together to make a "card". Getting the kids to stop jumping around like mad, waving their signs excitedly, or holding them directly in front of their faces was a bit challenging......
using the internet and my minimal photoshop skills, I put together this next photo to print out as an 8X10 for my husband and my dad
gah....sometimes those little crazies can be so adorable. my default option would be to make cards with the kids to give to their dad, but this idea struck me at the last minute like most of my gift ideas.
Clover's dress is a peek at what's coming tomorrow. I decided to do father's day pictures along with blog pictures to condense the photoshoot pain into one event. Maybe not the best idea. About one minute into taking the blog pictures at the end she just announced "I'm done!" and walked away.

While playing legos with the kids an image of a message made of them popped into my head, and so the lego card was born. I like how legos make the words look pixelated, and the man seemed pretty impressed with it... which made that part of me that always wants to make him think I'm neat and smart feel good. We've been married for 8 years in July, but I still keep trying to make him think I'm awesome because I've got a crush on him. Lol. When you've been ruining your youthful body with childbearing for the past 5 years, it's good to have other skills under your command anyway right?
"Hey boy, watch me while I stun you with my nerd awesomeness. Pay no attention to the ravages of motherhood....look! There's a cute person we made!"
Tomorrow I've got another blog tour post coming. Nice!
