This is the last week you could go see Redskins training camp here in Ashburn. Not only for this year, but I guess they are moving it to Richmond after this. So Tim asked if I would be wiling to take the kids out to see some of it yesterday. My response was "sure! that sounds like fun....potentially"
Tim reassured me that he had no grand expectations of how long we would be there. Even if we showed up, saw a few drills, took some pictures, and left a half hour later, he was ok with that. Any guesses on how long we actually lasted?.....
The problem is that it's hot here. And I was built for a more gentle climate. Clover appears to have gotten my genetic gift in that department, considering she also looks like a soggy tomato as soon as we hit a humid 78 around here. She also got my awesome gift of being left handed, so at least she is a gifted tomato....I think it was 92 that afternoon, so Clover can represent both of our sentiments in the below photo:
Thankfully, when we got there the quarterbacks were already practicing. Unfortunately, right after Tim had to take Clover to find a portapotty, the quarterbacks came and did drills right in front of us. Did you know that an RG3 jersey costs 115$? 115$!!
It was a really pretty day. Much nicer now that I get to enjoy it from the comfort of an air conditioned house.
We lasted about 15 minutes on the sidelines, by the way.
Clover thought she wanted to pose in the football body, but in the end, it didn't agree with her.....She's more of the ballerina type.
But this little beast looks like she found her calling.
Ha ha violet looks adorable posing! Poor clover looks SO hot. Send some heat here please... Right now it's pouring with rain :-( hey, I'm left handed too!
