something sweet and delicious that is guaranteed NOT to make you even more portly than the holidays have made you...
EYE CANDY
I have a nice little pile of new fabrics to churn out into something (one would hope) cute
on the left is a fat quarter of Echo by Lotta Jansdotter, which I picked up on my first trip into Web Fabrics in Purcellville. I have been obsessing over this WHOLE collection ever since it came out, so I'm not sure how I managed to drag myself out of the store without yards and yards and a heap of shame over the receipt.
the two others are some of the delightful prints my parents got for me at the Stitchin' Post when they were on their anniversary trip to Bend/Sisters OR. They are from Valori Wells' Wrenly collection, which I discovered when choosing prints for the girls' quilts.
these are the rest of the Wrenly prints my parents sent. There is a mixture of what I believe to be whole, half and quarter yards in there for me to make skirts out of for the kids. ahh! love
and lastly, this is the rest of my haul from Web Fabrics. on the left is a Moda sherbet pips yard, sherbet pips being another thing I've been making strange noises and googly eyes at. yes, it is a sickness.
in the middle is another fat quarter of Echo. and on the right is an unplanned addition to the purchase - some Lily Ashbury for Moda, which Clover seemed to take a liking to. She snatched a folded fat quarter of it out of a bin and brought it to me, and then I figure out where she had taken it from and put it back so we could keep shopping. A few minutes later, while we were in a totally different part of the store, she managed to find the same print again in a different location and brought it to me for a second time. I figured that the child must really like it if she was able to find it twice out of the many many prints, so I tossed it into the mix.
