well, I got my covert robin gift together and sent off earlier this week. I really hope my recipient enjoys the gift. Sometimes I feel like the things I make are only good enough to stay in my house, because they aren't perfect, and my work isn't always the most meticulous. but I gave it my best shot!
tea/coffee time set:
- hot pad/teapot rug
- handled cup cozy
- non-handled cup cozy
the two cozies are made from some cotton yarn that I knitted up. both of the tutorials came from luvinthemommyhood
the hotpad is made from Echo by Lotta, Washi by Rashida Coleman Hale, and some kona solid. The batting is natural cotton. Not the most perfect piece of quilting in the world, but it was made with love! And I had actually never made a hotpad before.
I sent the envelope off with a symbol of the covert robin...lol. Hopefully it gets there this week!

I think your partner will looooooove this package! Those cozies are so cute, and I love the fabrics you used on the mug rug. Yay for secret gifts :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement! Now I need some mug rugs like the one I just sent off. Lol!

DeleteAwww, so cute! Love what you made! Thanks for the link luv too!
ReplyDeleteI meant to link up to the specific posts for the cozies, but totally spaced it. Loopy week! My brain is on vacation.
DeleteHI Tara! Recipient of lovely handmade goodies here, and I LOVE them!! :) I'm a SAHM to two lovely and busy little girls - an energetic 3 year old and a 5 month old who thinks sleep is optional, so coffee is part of my routine every day, all day! I can't wait to decorate my cups with my cup cozies and use my pretty hot pad to save my countertop! Thank you thank you!! Also, when my 3 year old checked the mail, she saw the robin drawing and exclaimed, "Momma!!! You got BIRDY MAIL!" Perfect :) Yay!
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm so so so glad you like your goodies. Trust me when I say that I uderstand about the baby thinking sleep is optional. My youngest still hasn't gotten over that at 19 months, so coffee and tea are necessary. My oldest is also three and very energetic. I'll think of you next time I pour a cup of coffee ^_^
